Even with 🌧 being pelted in our eyes, the Hase Even with 🌧 being pelted in our eyes, the Hasenhorn Rodelbahn was absolutely thrilling! It was cold and wet and the 10 minute chairlift ride up the mountain was miserable 😩 It didn't take long for us to forget our misery and by the time we made it down the almost 3km long run, we had grins stretching from ear to ear frozen 🥶 on our faces!!! One of the BEST things about the Wutach Gorge hike One of the BEST things about the Wutach Gorge hike is that you get to see a little bit of everything! First we started out in the Gorge, fluorescent green moss covering the rocks and trees and a beautiful stream with countless waterfalls. Then out to a gravel country road, properly named Panorama Weg. Are you a fan of castle ruins? The Hohenecken Ruin Are you a fan of castle ruins? The Hohenecken Ruins are one of my absolute favorites. Only minutes outside of 🚗 Kaiserslautern and less than an 1.5 hours from Frankfurt make it a great day trip idea! It's a short but steep hike 🥾 up to the ruins, but completely worth the leg burn! You'll be rewarded with the well preserved ruins and the gorgeous view to the town below. The castle was built around 1200.
